British Universities will visit the Dominican Republic

Ambassador Steven Fisher hosted a breakfast to announce the visit to the Dominican Republic of seven top British Universities

British Universities will visit the Dominican Republic

Ambassador Fisher with the Chancellors of the main Dominican Universities, officials from the Dominican Ministry of Higher Education and Embassy Staff

Ambassador Steven Fisher received in his residence the Chancellors of the main Dominican Universities.

The purpose of the breakfast was to inform them that seven top British universities would be visiting the Dominican Republic in early March. The universities are very interested in receiving Dominican students in their respective institutions. They will have a tight programme that will include meetings with Dominican education representatives from both the public and private sector. The Mission will take place between the 4 and 6 March 2014.

The main objectives of this visit are, to explore the opportunities within the Dominican education sector, including collaboration with local universities and establishing links with the Ministry of Higher Education Science and Technology (MESCYT).

The Embassy also informed that they are organizing a British University Fair at the Tobago-Bahamas Room of the Hilton Hotel on March 4th between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
