A British trade mission from Northern Ireland will visit Oman on 25-26 May 2014. With a population of 1.8 million people, the region is 13,600 sq km in size, accounting for six percent of the total UK land area .This trade mission is organised by Invest Northern Ireland, which is the regional business development agency. The role of Invest Northern Ireland is to grow the local economy. Invest Northern Ireland is part of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment and provide strong government support for business. Invest Northern Ireland offers the Northern Ireland Business Community a high quality services, programmes, support and export advice.

The trade mission , which will also visit Qatar and Iraq, covers many sectors including healthcare , linen and furnishing textiles, building services, environmental services , airport ground handling equipment, bus manufacturing , management and training.

The trade mission’s delegates will meet representatives from Omani businesses which cover their respective sectors.
