British para-equestrian expert visited Uruguay

Clive Milkins gave the opportunity to Uruguayan jockeys and trainers in equestrianism and therapy to develop their skills and knowledge.

The British Embassy in Montevideo and “Centro Ecuestre Sin Límites” arranged the visit of British para-equestrian and equine therapy expert Clive Milkins from 4th to 9th November. At the Equestrian Club of Uruguay in Solymar, Clive delivered his training module “Everything is possible on the back of a horse” through motivational practical rider clinics.

Milkins’ visit allowed Uruguayan jockeys and trainers in equestrianism and equine therapy to have the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge. Among some of the topics discussed, Clive spoke about how to prepare disabled riders for participation in international competitions, which is one of his main objectives as Manager of “South Bucks Riding for the Disabled Association” in the UK.

Also, the coach of several riders who won gold medals at Paralympic Games, Clive lectured at the Municipality of Montevideo on “Funding the Future” focused on informing Uruguayan NGOs of the various methods of fundraising used in the UK.
