The UK-Uganda business forum

The British High Commission and the Ministry of Trade yesterday jointly hosted the second UK-Uganda trade forum. The forum brought together representatives of British business and officials from several key government agencies. The event was facilitated by the British High Commissioner, HE Alison Blackburne and the Minister of Trade, Hon Amelia Kyambadde.

The forum provided the British businesses with the opportunity to interface personally with representatives of the Uganda government agencies that influence and regulate their operations and to present their concerns and queries. The event also allowed the agencies the opportunity to clarify on outstanding issues and communicate changes that affect businesses operating in Uganda. It was attended by representatives from British businesses operating in various sectors ranging from agriculture and energy to insurance and banking.
