Held at the British Embassy Conference Centre in Warsaw on 18 September, the event attracted over 70 of ARUP’s business partners and friends who joined in the celebrations of the company’s ongoing success.

ARUP, a UK origin engineering and consulting company, has been involved in delivering many fantastic projects in Poland. Złote Tarasy shopping and office centre and Złota 44 Residential Tower in Warsaw, waste water treatment plant in Krakow and Renoma shopping mall in Wroclaw are but some most prominent examples. The company’s portfolio also includes delivery of projects in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, China and India.

When opening the event, the ambassador emphasised the fact that Arup is a truly global company which successfully combines local skills and knowledge with international experience. They focus on innovation and constant improvement. Their motto is “to shape a better world”.

The ambassador stressed that knowledge and innovation are key for business growth and thus for developing competitive economies. The UK government actively supports innovation in science, technology and engineering to help UK’s high-tech industries thrive. The GREAT Campaign is the best example of that. It is the largest integrated international campaign ever undertaken by the government to promote Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and their excellence across the globe.

After welcoming all the guests and ARUP’s staff, the ambassador handed over to Jan Zabierzewski and Andrzej Sitko, ARUP’s Directors in Poland, who talked about ARUP’s operations here in greater detail.

The reception was a high-profile event, celebrating and recognizing 15 years of ARUP’s continuous success in Poland.
