3 Singaporeans awarded Chevening scholarship for 2017/2018
Scholarships were presented to the three outstanding recipients by the Rt Hon Sajid Javip MP, the UK’s Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government on 22 August 2017.
The annual Chevening Scholarship Award presentation celebrates the awarding of new Chevening Scholarships to Singaporeans to study Master’s-level degree courses anywhere they wish in the UK. Chevening Scholarships are awarded to those who have demonstrated they are, or can be, leaders in their particular field of interest.
This year’s Chevening scholars from Singapore are Mr. Fairoz Ahmad, who will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Policy at The University of Oxford; Mr Bryan Choong, who will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health at the University of Edinburgh; and Ms Cheo Pei Rong, who will be pursuing an MPhil in Conservation Leadership at the University of Cambridge.
