The British Embassy Quito along with the British-Ecuadorean Chamber of Commerce held its annual British Business Networking Cocktail on Wednesday 17th June, an opportunity to network with the British - Ecuadorean business community and also say farewell to Tina Hamilton, Deputy Head of Mission. It was also a welcome to Piers Craven who is taking her place in the Embassy.

The event also saw the welcoming of the new Ecuadorean Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Carlos Abad Ortiz, who will replace Juan Falconí Puig.

Guests included a number of government authorities, diplomats and British, European and Ecuadorean companies.

Piers Craven

Piers joined the FCO in 2005, and has since been posted to Egypt, Sudan and Vietnam, in roles covering political, communications and commercial work.
