Changes have been made to the Insolvency Rules (Northern Ireland) 1991

Main Changes

The Insolvency (Amendment) Rules (Northern Ireland) 2015 introduce a new form 2.18BA – Notice of deemed approval of proposals.

“The administrator shall, forthwith after expiry of the period set out in Rule 2.038(1), give notice of the date on which they were deemed to have been approved to the registrar on Form 2.18BA.”

When the legislation comes into force, the form will be available on the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment (DETINI) website

When the changes apply

The rules come into operation on 3 September 2015. From this date an administrator will, where proposals have been deemed to be approved, give notice to the Registrar of Companies for Northern Ireland on form 2.18BA – Notice of deemed approval of proposals.
