As one of the largest employers in Wales, currently employing over 1,200 people, GE Aviation Wales includes over 150 engineering apprentices, graduates and interns. There are 22 apprentices graduating this year.

Alun Cairns said:

I am delighted to be here with the GE Aviation 2016 graduates and seeing first hand the success of such an important apprenticeship programme in Wales. It is flagship companies like GE Aviation, those with an established reputation, developing highly skilled workforces, that form such a key part of business productivity.

The Welsh economy is fundamentally strong, highly competitive, and open for global business. GE is a leading example and through their apprenticeship programme we are today celebrating the success of the next generation of Welsh manufacturers. Congratulations to all.
