Lord Young appointed as adviser on enterprise

Lord David Young, Baron Young of Graffham has been appointed as an adviser to the Prime Minister on enterprise.

Background

Lord Young will work on reducing the burden on business from health and safety regulations, working across departments on the implementation of his recommendations.

He will conclude his report on removing barriers to growth for small and medium sized enterprises, and ensure the government is doing all that it can to promote and boost enterprise.

Lord Young brings his wealth of experience in business and Government to the role, and will help the Government meet its commitment to make this country one of the best in the world to start, run and grow a small business.

The role is unpaid.
