The National Estate for Nature Group
The National Estate for Nature Group helps to achieve the government’s environmental goals through direct action on land.
Role of the group
The National Estate for Nature Group brings together England’s most significant landholders from across the public, private and third sectors. The group will take action on its estates to boost delivery of the terrestrial Environment Act targets and related nature recovery objectives such as 30by30.
To help deliver on this, each member has committed to have a published estate management plan. The Government Estate Nature Plan (GENP), which covers all government members, sets out how we will coordinate nature recovery across government land, supporting resilience, public services and delivery of national environment targets.
