Consultation description

This consultation invites views on the proposal to revise best value statutory guidance to include further guidance on the requirements of the Public Sector Equality Duty in relation to public sector procurement.

It is suggested that best value authorities should avoid ‘gold-plating’ the Act. The government also proposes that revised guidance should make it clear that councils should not fund extremist organisations.
