Detail of outcome
Four responses were received during the month long consultation period which ended on 13 December 2015. Two responses objected to the proposed cessation, one response supported the cessation on a conditional basis and the fourth supported the proposal. A summary of the feedback received is provided in Annex A of the response document. After considering the objections, it has been decided that the publication of the UKDS compendium and factsheet will cease.

Consultation description
The Ministry of Defence (MOD) currently publishes the UK defence statistics compendium (UKDS) on an annual basis, accompanied by a factsheet. We are now seeking external users’ views on ceasing publication of the UKDS compendium and the factsheet. The consultation document provides the background information to this proposal and reasons for the proposed change.
