Following on from this consultation on the Office of Rail and Road’s approach to innovation we reviewed the few responses we had received. As agreed with the DfT’s Better Regulation Unit, no further was taken by regulators including ORR.

Consultation description
Office of Rail and Road seek feedback on their approach to innovation. This includes whether there are any other actions or issues they could take to strengthen innovation in its approach to regulation.
In July 2015, the government, as part of the productivity plan, asked departments to work with regulators to publish innovation plans by spring 2016.
