This consultation addresses one of the measures announced as part of the Industrial Strategy.

This consultation seeks feedback on the proposal to increase the level of relief offered through the Network Charging Compensation (NCC) scheme from the current 60% up to 90%.

We are seeking views from a wide range of audiences, including:

  • energy intensive industries (EIIs), whether currently benefitting or not from the existing exemption scheme
  • energy suppliers
  • other electricity consumers
  • trade bodies
  • consumer associations
  • devolved governments
  • other interested parties
