Detail of feedback received

This summary of responses to the Vnuk consultation shows:

  • the majority of respondents expressed concerns about the Vnuk judgment
  • that of the 4 policy options set out by the European Commission, the proposal to limit compulsory motor insurance to vehicles used ‘in traffic’ proved the most popular
  • respondents tended to express similar concerns about both the comprehensive and amended directive options as those in the consultation document

We expect to issue a response in 2018.
