Detail of outcome

The Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government has decided to implement, subject to Parliamentary approval, the proposal for one unitary council to be established in Gloucestershire.

This proposal was submitted by:

• Cotswold District Council
• Gloucestershire County Council
• Stroud District Council
• Tewkesbury Borough Council

This consultation seeks views on the local government reorganisation proposals we have received from councils in Gloucestershire.​

We are seeking views on the proposals submitted by councils for the reorganisation of local government in Gloucestershire.
