Consultation description

This consultation seeks views on a new regulatory and tax framework for Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) business in the UK. ILS is now an important part of the global specialist reinsurance market.

At the March 2015 Budget, the Chancellor announced that the Treasury would work with the PRA, FCA and the London insurance market to design a new framework which would attract ILS business to the UK. The ILS project is aimed at helping the UK maintain its position as leading global hub for specialist reinsurance.

This consultation will run until 29 April 2016.
