Giving crown tenants greater protection
Applies to England
Consultation description
In July 2013, the coalition government announced that it would amend legislation to ensure crown tenants are provided with the same statutory rights as the majority of tenants in the private rented sector.
This commitment is being taken forward in the Crown Tenancies Bill 2015 which will amend provisions of the Housing Act 1988 to bring crown tenants within the assured tenancy regime.
This consultation invites comments on the detail of proposed changes.
