Employer debt in non-associated multi-employer defined benefit pension schemes
This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government
Detail of outcome
This consultation ran from
We are seeking views about the employer debt regime for non-associated multi-employer schemes and changes to it suggested by stakeholders.
We are seeking evidence about the:
- operation of the employer debt regime for non-associated multi-employer schemes
- effectiveness of the current easements open to employers in such schemes
- the possible impacts of changes that have been suggested to us
The call for evidence discusses the policy rationale underpinning the current regime and summarises the easements in place for employers. It then sets out stakeholders’ views of the regime and the possible changes they have suggested to us, exploring possible risks and benefits, and seeks wider comments.
We are not making any proposals at this time, merely seeking views.
