HMRC is consulting on proposals to introduce software standards to prevent electronic sales suppression, also called till fraud. This is a method used to hide or reduce the apparent value of sales.

This consultation will interest Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) developers, businesses using Point of Sale (POS), and organisations concerned with tax compliance.
