Consultation description
This non-formal written consultation sought views on how to dispose of the assets of the Residuary Milk Marketing Board (RMMB) which have been held by the Secretary of State since dissolution of the Milk Marketing Board (MMB) on 31 January 2002.
This consultation asked for views on the possible beneficiaries and suggestions for disposing of these assets in the interests of relevant producers in England & Wales.
The consultation package was sent to over 70 key industry stakeholders which represented the interests of milk producers (former Milk Marketing Board members) in England and Wales, as well as being available to see on the Defra website. 18 responses were received in total. All of the comments relating to the consultation document were suggestions on what the Residuary Milk Marketing Board assets should be used for.
