Detail of outcome

We received a total of 63 responses to this consultation.

There was strong support for designation which will provide a clear statutory requirement for National Highways and local authorities to collaborate to reduce pollution where statutory Air Quality Objectives are not met. We intend to lay a Statutory Instrument in Parliament designating National Highways later in 2022.
