Consultation description

The College of Policing is seeking views on guidance for the vetting of all police officers, staff and volunteers.

Authorised Professional Practice (APP) is the official source of professional practice for policing and we have developed updated APP to provide guidance for the minimum standards for vetting police officers, staff and volunteers.

This APP has been developed to help achieve, implement and maintain these national vetting standards to ensure that they are consistently applied across the police service.
