  1. Added advisory note for users to indicate that this product has been superceded by the Customs Importer and Exporter Population release.

  2. HM Revenue & Customs have today released the 2020 UK Importer and Exporter Population and its accompanying data set.

  3. HM Revenue & Customs have today released the 2019 UK Importer and Exporter population document.

  4. HM Revenue & Customs have today released the 2018 UK Importer and Exporter Population. This was previously known as the UK VAT registered importer and exporter population.

Users should be aware that this publication has been superseded by the Customs Importer and Exporter Population. This new publication will report on all future years and draw no comparison to previous data. The main changes are summarised in the annex of the 2021 publication.
