These statistics are no longer updated by the Valuation Office Agency (VOA).

This release is now published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) in the private rental market summary statistics series. ONS aim to develop these statistics to allow users to have a better understanding of the private rental market.

Note: the data used to generate these statistics are based on a sample of rental information. The composition of this sample changes over time, therefore it is not possible to produce a historical time series or to compare figures in different publications to infer trends in the rental market over time.
