Precision breeding register: notices and decisions
Release notices, marketing notices and related decisions on the precision bred status of organisms.
The Genetic Technology (Precision Breeding) Regulations 2025 came into effect on 13 November 2025. This page will contain notices and decisions relating to precision bred organisms when they are received.
Release and marketing of precision bred organisms in England are covered by the Genetic Technology (Precision Breeding) Act 2023 and the Genetic Technology (Precision Breeding) Regulations 2025.
Currently, only precision bred plants can be released or marketed in England.
