A summary of the quarterly Move to Universal Credit statistics will be included within the Universal Credit quarterly Official Statistics release from August 2026.   

Move to Universal Credit statistics will continue to be updated on a quarterly basis on Stat-Xplore.

This collection contains quarterly updates for people who have been sent managed migration notices inviting them to claim Universal Credit

Quarterly data are published in August, November, February May. The exact publication dates for the quarterly releases are listed in the statistics release calendar.

Stat-Xplore

The statistics are released via Stat-Xplore and contain an additional breakdown of detailed legacy benefit type and whether an extension to the claim deadline was granted.

An indicator is now available within the ‘People on Universal Credit’ dataset on Stat-Xplore, which allows users to include a breakdown on the Universal Credit caseload by Move to Universal Credit managed migration.
