Government Finance Function Strategy 2030

The Strategy sets a bold direction for the future, ensuring the GFF remains at the heart of government, supporting the delivery of high-quality public services and value for money. By prioritising people and embracing data, innovation, and collaboration, the Function will continue to support customers and stakeholders in making informed, strategic choices in an increasingly complex financial landscape.

The Strategy is built around three core objectives: being Insightful and Data Driven, Skilled and Talented, and Innovative and Delivery Focused—all underpinned by strong Finance Foundations. These priorities reflect the collective ambition of the 9,000-strong community, ensuring the Function is equipped with the skills, tools, and expertise to thrive.
