Economic Secretary to the Treasury builds on Edinburgh Reforms

Today (8 December), Bim Afolami, Economic Secretary to the Treasury, marked the anniversary of the Edinburgh Reforms with a two-day trip to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

During the visit, the Economic Secretary announced the publication of the government’s and FCA’s joint policy paper setting out initial proposals for reform as part of the Advice/Guidance Boundary Review. The Minister also announced new metrics that the FCA and PRA will publish in relation to their new growth and competitiveness objectives.

The Economic Secretary chaired three roundtables with a wide range of Scottish industry stakeholders and visited Morgan Stanley’s Glasgow office.
