Anyone working in the youth justice system should use the forms in this collection to assess young people to help them stop offending.

Use:

  • Asset to assess the risks and needs of a young person when they first come into contact with a youth offending team
  • SQIFA and SIFA to assess a young person’s mental-health needs, depending on the result of the Asset assessment
  • Onset to assess young people deemed to be at particular risk of offending for the first time.
