The George Cafe to be transformed with support of almost £250,000
Almost £250,000 from the Community Ownership Fund has been allocated to help secure the future of The George Café in Newnham.
The George closed in early 2018, but with this funding will be able to support its transformation into a multi-purpose community hub.
The future of The George
Plans for the community hub include:
- flexible workspaces for small businesses and start-ups
- music and live events space
- a café and bakery
- meeting rooms
- a gallery
