Nearly £150,000 for Cliftonville Cultural Space
£148,792 was allocated to Cliftonville Cultural Space in Thanet in December 2022 from the UK Community Ownership Fund to improve the old Margate Synagogue.
The Synagogue ceased to be a place of worship in 2017 and was bought by members of the community in 2020 to repurpose the building as a community space.
The funding will allow vital structural repairs to be completed. The organisation hope the building will be used by a range of community groups and as a venue for cultural events.
