£9.5 million boost for West Hove regeneration

The Levelling Up Fund has allocated £9.5 million to the ‘Kingsway to the Sea’ project. The project aims to regenerate run-down and under-used spaces in West Hove.

Plans for Kingsway to the Sea

The funding will focus on multiple projects in the city that will provide:

  • public toilets and changing facilities

  • a new public café and terrace
  • new sporting facilities
  • a pump track for BMXs
  • a roller-skating area
  • new green spaces
  • a skatepark
  • tennis courts

Further benefits for Hove

The investment will see:

  • improved park access from the A259 cycle lane at the Kingsway
  • the existing Hove and Kingsway Bowling Club buildings replaced
  • improved connectivity across the city
