New facilities for the community

The new Eco Hub will be located on Whitley Road. It will provide an inclusive green space for the variety of activities already on offer.

The new facilities will include:

  • a low carbon meeting space
  • energy efficient units to rent
  • a resource hub

The charity hopes to use the space to educate people about climate change and the environment. Public consultations will ensure the new building responds to the community’s needs.

The new hub in Whitley Bay will:

  • provide a community space that’s fit for purpose
  • complement the government’s Net Zero agenda
  • promote greener living in the area
