£20 million Levelling Up Fund support for Cleator Moor (Levelling Up Fund 2)
A further £20 million from the Levelling Up Fund was allocated to the Industrial Solutions Hub in Cleator Moor.
The Industrial Solutions hub
The Industrial Solutions Hub Enterprise Campus in Cleator Moor will create a place where businesses and industry can come together to collaborate, problem solve and develop innovative solutions that bring benefits to people living locally and across the UK.
The campus will create over 700 new jobs.
It is located on the Leconsfield Industrial Estate.
Phase 2 of the development
Levelling Up funding will support phase 2 of the development. This includes:
- connecting the campus to the town centre with new hubs in Cleator Moor
- new cycle and foot paths across the town
- expansion onto the neighbouring Heather Banks site
Funding from the Levelling Up Fund follows the significant investment made in this project from the £22.5 million Town Deal for Cleator Moor
