£12.8 million allocation for Gloucester's cycle corridor

£12.8 million from Levelling Up Fund was allocated to Gloucestershire for the Gloucester Docks Sustainable Travel Improvements scheme to support the delivery of a 26-mile cycle corridor in Gloucester.

This will improve access to the regenerated docks area of the city and beyond and increase access to joined- up walking-cycle paths.

The project will help:

  • improve travel times around traffic pinch-points
  • encourage more sustainable travel
  • reduce carbon emissions
