Thank you to everyone who responded to the call for evidence. It received more than 50,000 responses, which have been analysed by the Independent Water Commission.
The Independent Water Commission has completed a review of the water regulatory framework. These responses and other evidence have informed recommendations made to the UK and Welsh governments.
The recommendations and this call for evidence’s summary of responses can be found in the commission’s final report.
Following the call for evidence and final report, both governments will respond and consult on proposals, including potential legislation.

The Independent Water Commission was launched by the UK and Welsh governments. Its call for evidence outlines the current issues based on the evidence the commission has gathered so far, and areas for potential change that the commission wishes to explore.
