You may need to notify the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) if you are operating a flight arriving or departing at an undesignated port in Northern Ireland.
This applies to flights to or from the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Great Britain or the Republic of Ireland. If your flight does not leave Northern Ireland you do not need to notify the PSNI.
An undesignated port is one which a captain or pilot could not reasonably expect to be met by the PSNI or the UK Border Agency. In Northern Ireland the designated ports are:
- George Best Belfast City Airport
- Belfast International Airport
- City of Derry Airport
