Abstract

The goal of this paper is to use a scandal (alleged government complicity in a supposed organ-trafficking ring with occult connotation) and urban politics in Nampula City as a microcosm to discuss the practice of politics in post-reform Mozambique and some of the social tensions that have arisen from this process.
