Who's Turn to Eat? The Political Economy of Roads in Kenya

Abstract

This presentation gives an analysis of road building in Kenya in relation to ethnic composition of areas and ruling governments, and finds that governments favour road construction in parts of the country populated by their own ethnic groups or political allies.
