Abstract

This presentation asks the questions: What is the impact of inter-annual variation in weather on health in India with district-level data from 1957-2000?; What are the mechanisms through which exposure to extreme temperatures impact human health in developing countries?; Are there interventions/infrastructure/policies that help mitigate the impact of extreme temperatures?; and What are the implications of all this for the health costs of climate change in developing countries?
