Abstract

This is the response to a DEWPoint helpdesk enquiry. It covers: WASH facilities costs - ensuring value for money; Alternative models for operation and maintenance of school WASH (discussed in relation to water supply, hand washing and water treatment, and latrines); Impact of school WASH on absenteeism; and Scaling up effective school WASH.

This report was produced by DEW Point, a Resource Centre for Environment, Water and Sanitation, that was funded by DFID and managed by a consortium of companies led by Harewelle International Limited.
