Abstract

CommGAP and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime co-organized a learning event held at the UN headquarters in Vienna, Austria, on November 17 - 19, 2008. This event brought together officers of anti-corruption commissions who have decision-making authority over their agencies' communication-related activities as well as applied scholars in communication, policy studies, and the allied social sciences to discuss and debate the role of communication approaches and techniques in bolstering anti-corruption efforts. This learning event provided an opportunity to deepen understanding and codify good practices on the role of communication in supporting anti-corruption work.
