Updating the Concept of Special and Differential Treatment (SDT) for Developing Countries in Multilateral Trade Policy. Research Report.

Abstract

The underlying 'idea' of this project is that new forms of special and differential treatment (SDT) can be identified that: are relevant to the trade issues under discussion in the Doha Round; do not run counter to prevailing economic orthodoxy; and indeed are essential if the Doha Round is to be brought to a successful conclusion. This report outlines the project's background and objectives, methodology, findings and their dissemination.
