Abstract

As part of AIDS vaccine trials participants are counselled on how to reduce their risk of catching HIV. This is called risk reduction counselling. The factsheet describes a typical risk reduction conseling session and expains what a a risk-reduction plan is. The evidence supporting the effectiveness of such sessions is discussed.
