Abstract

This paper seeks to assess the role of investment funds and sovereign wealth funds in large scale land acquisitions overseas through compiling key findings from existing studies and publications. The research examines the following: How much land has been acquired, where, when and for what value; The trends of investments (geographic and over time); Investors investment criteria.
