The Political Economy of Avian Influenza: SE Asia country study workshop. Brighton, UK, February 26-27, 2009.

Abstract

This workshop was aimed primarily at reviewing the country papers from Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand and Viet Nam, and setting them in a comparative framework. Additionally, it examines the lessons learned from the international response to avian influenza and the implications these have for the 'One World, One Health' initiative. Documents attached are the agenda, list of participants, background and 14-page meeting report.

Building on earlier work on the international response to avian influenza, the aim of the country studies has been to look at the national contexts for the response, examining the implications for both national and international policy.
