Abstract

This paper draws on information from the Rural Road Gravel Assessment Programme (RRGAP) along with relevant aspects of the parallel Rural Road Surfacing Trials (RRST) programme, to summarise some current knowledge on the performance of unsealed rural roads in Vietnam and to outline guidelines on the appropriate use of unsealed surfacing.
