The Almaty Agenda

Abstract

The Almaty Agenda comprises a list of recommendations and a Program of Action promulgated by the United Nations Economic and Social Council’s Body on Least Developed and Landlocked Developing Countries at the Almaty Ministerial Conference held in Kazakhstan in August 2003. The recommendations are concerned with difficulties with transport links, and therefore trade, for landlocked countries with no direct access to sea freight.
